The purpose of this website is to provide economic data, information and analysis about economic issues impacting our world — from a microeconomic viewpoint on individual and business decision-making, to the macroeconomic factors impacting our world. The site is maintained and managed by Mr. Tim Rodman.
Mr. Rodman is a National Board Certified social studies teacher at Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda, Maryland. He teaches AP Government and AP Economics (Micro/Macro).
In 2010, Mr. Rodman was named Maryland Social Studies Teacher of the Year. In 2011, he received the Wheaton-Kensington Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year award. In 2013, he was named Advisor of the Year for the Maryland Youth and Government program, of which he sponsors a chapter at WJ.
Mr. Rodman has taught economics via summer programs in Seoul, South Korea (with The Korea Society) and in Johannesburg, South Africa (with the Council for Economic Education). He has also presented at multiple teacher seminars with the Maryland Council for the Social Studies and the Maryland Council for Economic Education.
He is the proud Daddy of Jacob, 2, and Summer, born in December 2014. In his spare time, he operates a hobby farm in Frederick County, Maryland, where he raises Black Angus and Hereford beef cattle, South African Boer goats and Continental Dorset sheep with his family. He loves teaching and hope that it shows in all that he does.
